NEW BLOG FEATURE!

For a while I’ve been trying to think of something new to do on the ranch. It seems all the really great ideas have been done, or are someone else’s success story. Take my fabu critique partner, Christine Warner‘s FFF (Friday Fun Facts)- this is a huge hit! I wish I thought of it first! Actually, one of my other cps did think of something similar two years ago. But not me. Sarah Grimm just recently began a Friday post, Friday Quickies- I’ve been in that chair. FUN! And her idea. Now I’m thinking it’s my turn. :) After blogging, facebooking and tweeting it… Drum roll please…bahththththththththth bang!

The winning NEW FEATURE idea is (TBA after said contest). :)

Blurb:

Sam Callahan returns home from the war and encounters stigmatic resentment from the townspeople and his mother’s strange new obsession with an antique doll that carries a curse. His only solace from his war nightmares comes in the unlikely form of a gypsy girl with stigmas of her own. He’s known Poppy Tippen his entire life, but there’s something different about her now. Something special that he desperately wants to hold on to.

Poppy is Silvertown’s outcast as the illegitimate daughter of a gypsy doll collector. But even as a child she loved football hero, and town sweetheart, Sam ‘The Force’ Callahan, who never seemed to know she was alive. Now,  he’s home again and she suddenly finds herself comforting him from the demons of ‘that damn war’. Is his attention merely an escape from the haunting nightmares? Or can she hold onto the only man she’s ever truly loved?
