The Protector- Jon

Jon, has his comeuppance in book two, when he meets Shyen Silver. He wants to run away because he  never will accept a white woman as a mate. He can’t see past his heritage long enough to embrace someone outside of the understanding of his life. He doesn’t want to explain that the desire he has for Shyen comes from a much deeper source than mere human love. Jon wants to reject the woman his inner ‘brother’ wolf has claimed as his life mate. He has reconciled his strong beliefs in the heritage he grew up relying on, used it to make sense of the hated, forced imprisonment on the mountain. If offered the opportunity, Jon would never shift again. Much less feed that ‘other’ with a mate.

In the book Jon Gray has a wolf tattoo on his left pec that Shyen has a healthy fear of. Why? Sorry, I can only say– it’s all in the curse. ;) But you can see here why the ink artwork would disturb someone.

I asked Ion, the tattoo artist, for permission to borrow his perfect rendition of Jon’s ‘fate mark’ and he said I can use/alter it for my personal needs. I promised him I would give him full credit and any alterations on my part would be noted. At this point I have not made any changes.
